How often do you quietly observe your

surrounding?

Yesterday, I have a chance to sit down

and observe my gf jotting down her

idea.

Through observing, I get to see her clearer.

Yet, currently, what she wants now is to talk to her over the phone.

She does not understand her important is this entry is important to us.

This entry signifies my love for her.

By just watching her, I actually get very happy.

Everything we have done is really worthwhile.

I used to tell my friends that in a relationship,

communication is very important.

Yesterday, I understand the true meaning of

Communication.

The poem below is for my GF.

We don't have to speak, and we are communicating.

The Tsunami and Earthquake that hit Japan

On 11 March 2011, a 9.0 richter earthquake

hit Japan.

In the same disaster, the earthquake

brings its second wave of

damage...

the fearful Tsunami.

Once again, Tsunami destroyed

more than what any human being

has ever imagined.

All along, Japan's infrastructure is

known to be able to withstand

earthquakes...

but it crumbles under the Tsunami.

Following that, they are now facing

the nuclear power plant crisis.

In the midst of the nightmare,

Japan impress the world

with their fighting spirit.

Once again, they certainly showed

the best side of mankind in time of

crisis.

And...

As usual, everyone from around the

world is pouring countless love

and concern to Japan.

I appreciate that...

But, I don't see how are we

helping Japan by

supporting a Facebook event...

Still,

If you can, do something and help.

Donate money if you have,

or volunteer if you want to.

Japan will certainly overcome

this crisis and they certainly will

survive.

I have officially joined the labour participation force!

I am so sorry that I can only update my blog now.

This is because, other than working, I am

practically falling sick most of the times.

Thanks to the poor weather condition (To me personally),

I cannot withstand the cold temperature for the

past few days.

My working life is.... Challenging.

The responsibility is way beyond my expectation.

The positive side, I have good colleagues and lots to learn.

It is only when I work, then I realize the benefit of

blogging because I have been

documenting down my learning

experience in the system that

I have been using.

Life is getting tough, to be honest,

but

I must stand firm and hold my ground

because

this is only the beginning.

I shall

Big Head Disease

The Big Head Disease isn't really a

"real disease".

It is to describe someone being arrogant or proud.

Especially when someone is successful or

when he is enjoying a high amount of

good luck.

This... is happening to me lately.

Despite consistently reminding myself

of this bad symptoms,

I will became too arrogant after sometime.

I admit, luck is certainly on my side

lately. However, one

should never be too proud.

This post reminds me to control

my pride and keep my existence as

low as possible because

I do not need to let the whole

world know about my success.

I hope you can learn something

here too.

The only cure to this disease

is to control yourself.

Volunteer

This is a resubmission of the original entry.

I have officially been relieved from my management position

in my CCA!

Time flies and it seems like my roller coaster ride has finally

came to a stop. I treasure every moment I have spent in this

joyous ride.

I first started as a normal volunteer, and slowly I progressed into

the vice-chairperson of my RVP. Then, I moved on and become

a cell head in two SPs and finally as the Hon Gen Treasurer.

Now, it is time for me to let go.

Few weeks ago, a girl, during the election, reminded

me the definition of volunteer in her speech.

I was very impressed.

Indeed, the definition of a volunteer is to commit a

work without expecting any return.

The sense or feel of doing a good deed is not

what a volunteer will want to receive

in the end too.

I am now, back to a normal volunteer.

Now, I will commit my time to do

whatever I can before I leave NUS.

And

If you are reading this blog, I hope I can tell you this.

Being a volunteer is not an easy task.

You need a lot of perservance and determination.

However, at the end of the day...

after you have committed all your efforts in volunteering

you will know,

you are destined to be a volunteer and

you will always be volunteering.

From then on, nothing in life can beat you down

anymore.

Finally,

My life in NUSCSC is, I would like to think

this way...

The Metal Container - Change and Unchange

It has been a long time since I last updated my blog.

Thanks to my busy schedule in School, I have no

time to do things which I like to do, for example, writing.

A few weeks ago, I went to buy wanton soup for my family dinner.

I carried the metal container shown in the picture above, and walk

passed a few streets to buy the soup.

On my way back, while I was carrying this container, filled with soup,

I began to remember in the past when I was still a kid and

how I used to carry the same metal container to buy the soup.

Instantly, I started to feel dismay on how time flies and how

the surrounding has changed.

I have changed and the environment has changed.

The only item that remained unchanged is this metal container

that has been in my house for years.

I am not exactly sure why I wrote this entry.

However, I believe that this entry serve as a very good

remainder for us to look back to our past sometime.

Take a look at ourselves and find out, what have changed

and what remained unchanged. :)

A joke or a touching story?

This is suppose to be a joke,

but I find it as a touching story instead...

An old man lived alone in Idaho. He wanted to spade his potato garden, but it was very hard work. His only son, Bubba, who used to help him, was in prison. The old man wrote a letter to his son and described his predicament.

Dear Bubba:
I am feeling pretty bad because it looks like I won't be able to plant my potato garden this year. I'm just getting too old to be digging up a garden plot. If you were here, all my troubles would be over. I know you would dig the plot for me.

Love, Dad

A few days later, he received a letter from his son.

Dear Dad:
For heaven's sake, Dad, don't dig up that garden. That's where I buried the BODIES.Love, Bubba

At 4 a.m. the next morning, FBI agents and local Police showed up and dug up the entire area without finding any bodies. They apologized to the old man and left.
That same day, the old man received another letter from his son.
Dear Dad:
Go ahead and plant the potatoes now. It's the best I could do under the circumstances.Love, Bubba

NUS and ME

In about a year time, I will be leaving

this prestigious university.

NUS is not a good school.

I always tell everyone this.

However, after knowing I will be graduating

soon, my perspective has changed a little.

I will not say I like NUS, but I do miss my favourite spots

there.

Places like, the sofa area and small corner in SOC...

Small but comfy seminar rooms,

Level 4 at engine block 2/3/4,

Lover's Garden,

Kent Ridge Bus Terminal...

These are the few places where I will miss.

NO!

I don't miss the Teaching Staff...

the food,

the bazaar,

the facilities...

These are the few things that will leave my mind as

soon as they get in.

To be fair, actually, there are few teaching staffs

whom I admire. and have learnt a lot from

them.

I must thank the cleaning staffs (Auntie) who

keep SOC toilets so clean!!!

HaHaHa.

I am not leaving yet. But it is always not too early

to appreciate things.

You may not like something or someone sometimes,

but you have to appreciate them for they

may have done something to make

your life better.

A lot has happened to me lately.

My relationship is doing very well,

but I have met a few people who irritates me greatly.

Some of them are my friends,

but after I sit down and think for a while,

they are not as truthful as they appear to be...

It is time to leave certain things behind. :)

Hamster

Mao Mao

My pet hamster passed away yesterday.
The worst part is, she waited for me to return from the
chalet before she passed away. She was waiting to see me one last time.

She made me think a lot. Lately...

Life is no one way street.
It is filled with a lot of turns and junctions.
The vehicles that travel on the roads are
the little parts and parcels of our life.

Mao Mao is one such "vehicle" that parks on my street.
And the rest?
The people who come and go are just those vehicles on my
roads.

They all have their destinations and places where they want to go.
Yet, only a few will stop on my roads and park it with me.

Lately, I started to examine my life. I started to think who
will stop by and examine my streets.

Then, I realized. I do no want anyone on my streets.
Why? I just don't like.

I feel messy lately.
Like the streets in my Life.
The traffic is messy. I got to admit, more people
have stepped into my life.

But, in the end. They are just passer-by.

I really wish the roads would be quieter.
I wish to be alone...

I need some time for myself and heal myself.
Like cleaning up the roads.

Watched this reality show 抢摊大行动2.
It was not my favorite show but this episode is really interesting.

This episode showcased 2 different participants.
The first participant quit at the first day. The chef even went to his house and advise him.
In the end, the people whom he hurt most are his family members.

I am not criticizing this participant. I just want to bring out the second participant better.

The second participant is a different man. In some sense, he was like a last minute replacement.
However, the passion and sincerity that he had demonstrated was truly admiring.

I was so impressed by his sincerity.

In the end, he got the gold medal.

One judge, who is an author, commented this to him...
"天助自助者".
When I heard this phrase, I was amazed...
The phrase mean, Heaven will help those who help themselves.

When opportunity comes, we must grab hold of it and cherish it.
Most importantly, work hard for it...
2 different man... demonstrated the 2 sides of our world.

Mao Mao, Dar Dar and my pet. Ha...
She is our new source of joy...

BTW, we also got many other source of joy la...
Ha.

Finally, I can post my pictures again. Yeah!
This is just a start. I am sure I have missed out a lot of entries.

Firstly, my birthday. I spent a lot of great times with many friends. There are many names but you know who you are. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Names: JC, Nicholas, Sherlynn, Hui ling, Andrew, Adam, Toadie, Sz, Ching, Terence, Chong Ho, Steven, Kian Heng and Weitian, Tian Ju, Johnson, Wendy and many more.

I would like to thank Dar, for doing so much for me... constantly reminding me how fortunate I am to be loved by so many people... especially her.

Secondly, Project C.A.N. VI and Grant A Wish VII
The first one had just ended and the second project started immediately. I didn't get enough rest but I am still ready to give my every strength for all charity work. It is the smile of the kids that motivates me to carry on this commitment.

However, I swear... I will stop after this...

Thirdly, Dar and Me have marched into the third year of our relationship. Probably, it is going to be the start of something new!

After the hectic life.. my new direction awaits...

Dar is upset with me. Because of my busy schedule. Despite my best effort to salvage the situation, things still cannot work out. I felt really disheartened after putting in so much effort in managing my life yet everyone else still cannot accept me...

Why am I doing this? It is hard to explain... But it has to be done...

I don't want to live with regrets.
I do things for a reason. That is my rational behavior. Why do I make my life so busy? I have a reason...

On top of everything, Dar is still the only girl in my heart...

His background was filled with many negative incident, from cancer to legal issues.

Few days ago, I was queuing up to buy bubble tea.
Then, came 3 chinese guys cut in front of me.

Yes. That's right. They are trying to cut the queue. Because of their actions, everyone else behind me became lost lamb and crowd around the counter instead of queuing up.

Unable to tolerate further... I shout at the three guys and asked them to queue up. With an immediate effect, everyone started queuing up. Must the scenario turned ugly first before everyone starts to behave in a civilized manner?

again... what the hell are they thinking?

What the hell are the Singaporeans behind me thinking?

Is queuing up that difficult?

The Mexican Flu which makes everyone in the whole world panic. Just how deadly is this virus, we do not know. The problem is, we don't know much about this virus, H1N1 (Scientific Name). This virus may terminate the world or may not.

There are signs that this virus may not be as lethal as expected in the beginning but we must not take things for granted.

The situation seems to be in control, except from Mexico herself.

What we can do now is to maintain our personal hygiene at the 'Green' Level and take good care of ourselves.

Other than that... we have to wait...

Finally fulfilled my gf's wish to play at Sentosa. Well, it was a nice weather that day with some droplets of rain here and there. However, the most enjoying part was that there were not a lot of people at the beach. So it was fun because you can speak loud and play wild.

Enjoyed every moment. Looking forward for the next Sentosa visit.

Two stream of tears flow from my eyes as I watched this 3mins advertisement.

The impact of this advertisement was so strong that it stired my emotion greatly.
I can't help but to remember my Mum when she was sick.

Thailand Disorder

It is sad to see this scene in Thailand. They are currently experiencing a political vicious cycle. The struggle for power of the nation will only lead to more pain and misery.

With the current gloomy economy, this disorder will lead Thailand to worse economic performance.

In this picture, we see a red shirt protester pleading the army not to enforce violence on his peers. This is quite a disheartening scene indeed. Where is their government?

Probably, as an outsider, like me, this may seem far from us. As a Singaporean, we are fortunate that things like this didn't happen. So, for them, if they don't help themselves... who will help them?

The answer is no one.

Watched this movie yesterday. Wow, I am so impressed by the Airplane disaster scene. It was a one-shot scene, following Nicholas Cage as he went into the crash spot to rescue survivors. What we get to see was lots of explosions and a lot of victims burning. It feel so up-close and personnel, giving me the feeling like I am just behind Nicholas Cage.

Sadly, the ending was kind of disappointing with a bad twist. Well, I like the computer graphics especially the part about the 'SUN' destroying....

This movie prompt me to think about the end of the world. While we have been constantly focusing on saving our world's environment, could there be some other unknown catastrophes waiting to take place and annihilate all living things in the world?

Can Human save the world? Do we have the best insurance for our future? I seriously doubt we are on the right track.

Then, when the time comes... Who do you wish to stay by your side? In fact, this question itself can be difficult to answer.

Steven's Birthday

Knowing that he will be studying in SIM soon, we bought 2 t-shirts for him. It was a day full of joy and laughter.

It was a gathering where my Kahkis had been waiting. I'm glad that we manage to meet up for this special occasion.

The male lead finds a new dream in his work as a 'NK Agent'. Through him, we see different families and different approaches to death.

Through his job, he found his long lost father...

Through his cello, he found a shattered dream...

Through his wife, we see the meaning of true love...

Through this movie, we understand what is the ultimate goal that everyone is seeking...

20th Month Together

Having a relationship last for 20 months is not an easy task. In these 20 months, many quarrels and arguments took place. However, with every quarrel, we get to understand each other better. Walking with me for the past 20 months, requires great Love. Because Love itself is forgiving... No matter how many misunderstandings or arguments, Love is always the cure for these negative incidents.

North Korea had just test launched its rocket.
Many nations condemned its action, including US, indicating it as a violation of disturbing peace.
North Korea defended that it was just working on its space exploration.

Whatever it is, conflict like these should be avoided. Shouldn't our attention be focusing on economy? Oh well, North Korea has no issue with that because they are one of the poorest nations. Just wondering, will all these issues end one day?

Let's just wait and see...
